Something very exciting is rising from of the depths of the Philly Fashion industry and 2016 is looking like it is going to be a great year for these guys. As a friend of one of the co-founders and a true admirer of their work from afar, I have no doubt in my mind that these young men are about to take on the world with their talent.
I’m talking about the guys over at BWC Garments, who are starting to make some noise in the fashion world. BWC Garments is a cut and sew Menswear Company which stands for Built With Craft. The company was founded exactly one year ago by Josh Langford as Head Designer and Rob McGraw as Brand Manager. In its one year span of existence, the duo has already sold pieces to hip-hop artist Mac Miller, who recently rocked the BWC Sportsman Jacket on “The Nightly Show”. Their website says it all it is “A brand that cultivates a casual fusion of sophistication and comfortably. We create go-to pieces that command attention yet remain humble. The bWc aesthetic offers a definitive and timeless collection of garments that manifests versatility.
With the brand deeply inspired by music, BWC is rolling out their next sector of the BWC brand with the launching of BWC Sounds, a music and event sector of the business. The sound of BWC is a mix of jazz, broken beat and soulful house. BWC Sounds plans on curating mixes, dinner parties, rooftop soirees, music showcases and special events. The official launch party for BWC Sounds is slated to take place on Friday March 25th at MAAS Building at 1325 N Randolph St kicking off at 9 PM. The evening will include an unreleased BWC Garments Capsule, Live art from The Super Poor Kids, and a rare lineup of DJs including The Whooligan (Soulection), ODDKIDOUT (Fact Mag), Matthew Law Fishman-Dickerson (IllVibe Collective), P.S.118 , and a special guest.
