Limos and Taxis set to Protest Uber 12/16 at City Hall

PSA: According to a tread on reddit, about 500 limo and taxi drivers from the Philly area are set to protest against Uber.

“On Wednesday, 12-16-16, from 11:30am until 3:00pm, approximately (500) members with vehicles, of the Taxi and Limo drivers of Philadelphia plan to protest against the illegal ride-sharing programs in Philadelphia such as Uber and Lyft ride sharing services. They plan on parking limousines, (black, luxury sedans of various makes and models), on S. Penn Square in front of the DA’s office as well as other streets surrounding City Hall.

The Civil Affairs Unit will assign personnel to this event. The Commanding Officer of Central Police Division and the Commanding Officer of the 6th & 9th Police District have been notified of this event.”

Hopefully, we don’t see any of this around City Hall on Wednesday…
