Dr. Dog Release Bring My Baby Back, New Album Out February 5th

To preview an upcoming album due out February 5th, Philly natives Dr. Dog have released “Bring My Baby Back” on Soundcloud. The song’s got a great vibe held down by electronic drums, pianos and lasers. Listen below.

The highly anticipated album titled “The Psychedelic Swamp” was first recorded as a cassette-only album back in 2001. Now their long-awaited album is only a few short weeks from being released, as the band prepares for another international tour. The band has tour dates lined up across the US, Canada, and Europe with other Philly locals Hop Along and The Districts scheduled. Find all the info on their website, drdogmusic.com.

Unfortunately, for all of us it looks like they don’t have a Philadelphia show lined up for 2016 yet. The last time the band played in Philly was at the Mann Center in 2014, playing with Mac Demarco, Hop Along, and the Front Bottoms. Although, back in September the band linked up with Pig Iron to put on 4 day experimental show at Union Transfer. The show was respectively called “Swamp is on”, where they featured their upcoming album in full. Let’s hope they can line up another great show in Philly sometime this year – but for now, go ahead and entertain yourself with some of their recent videos.
